Thiru Oonjal PaaTtu
This Thiru Oonjal Paattu that was written by Navaliyoor Somasundara Pulavar for Sri Kandaswamy Temple is sung twice annually as our Lord is poetically praised while on his golden swing (oonjal) after his ceremonious wedding rituals. This occurs following the Thirukkalyaanam of our Lord Sri Shanmuha Perumaan during the Skantha Sashti Festival and the Thirukkalyaanam of Lord Sri Mutthukkumaara Swami Perumaan during our Kumba Abishegam Anniversary that is celebrated as the Manavaalakkolam Festival.

Kanthagaanam
In the early 2000s, Sri Kandaswamy Temple released Kanthagaanam, a 20-track album of musical offerings to Lord Skantha. The first nine tracks feature original compositions written by Dr. Kiruthiyaa and Gurunatha Chittar, dedicated to Sri Kandaswamy Temple, reflecting the temple's spiritual heritage and the deep devotion of its community. The remaining eleven tracks are beloved renditions of popular hymns traditionally sung in praise of Lord Muruhan, offering listeners a rich and uplifting musical experience. The songs are soulfully rendered by Sangeetha Ratna Srimathi Mangalam Shankar, bringing to life the devotion and reverence embodied in each piece. The music was masterfully composed and arranged by Sri L. Krishnan, whose expertise brought depth and vibrancy to the devotional pieces. Kanthagaanam continues to be cherished by devotees as a timeless expression of bhakti, connecting hearts to the divine through the universal language of music.
