Sukkira Vaara Festival (Aippasi Velli)

Dear Devotees,

The Sukkira Vaara Festival (Aippasi Velli) will be celebrated at the Sri Kandaswamy Temple during the auspicious month of Aippasi, with special abishegam and poojaa followed by a Procession of Sri Mahaavalli Gajavalli Sametha Sri Mutthukkumaaraswami Perumaan around the inner and outer courtyards of the Temple, every Friday. Devotees are welcome to participate in this festival and obtain the blessings of Sri Sakthi Vel Perumaan and Sri Mahaavalli Gajavalli Sametha Sri Mutthukkumaaraswami Perumaan.

24.10.2025 - First Sukkira Vaaram - Procession on the Mayil Vaahanam

31.10.2025 - Second Sukkira Vaaram - Procession on the Gaja Vaahanam

07.11.2025 - Third Sukkira Vaaram - Procession on the Kaamadhenu Vaahanam

14.11.2025 - Fourth Sukkira Vaaram - Procession on the Rettai Kuthirai Vaahanam

Note: The first two Sukkira Vaara poojaas will be held in the morning/afternoon while the last two Sukkira Vaara poojaas will be held in the evening.
