Thaippoosam Festival - 1 FEB

Dear Devotees,

The Thaippoosam Festival will be observed at the Sri Kandaswamy Temple on Sunday, 1st of February 2026, with special abhisegam, poojaa and a procession of Sri Mutthukkumaaraswami and his Consorts. There will be a procession of devotees carrying "Paal Kudam" from Sri Sakthi Karpaga Vinayagar Temple, Brickfields at 4.00 a.m. to the Sri Kandaswamy Temple. In the evening, there will be a procession of Sri Mahaavalli Gajavalli Sametha Sri Mutthukkumaaraswami Perumaan in the Thirumancham along Jalan Scott.

Devotees are welcome to participate in this festival and receive the blessings of Lord Kanthan.

Note: 1) Devotees who desire to carry the "paal kudam" are requested to register themselves at the Sri Sakthi Karpaga Vinayagar Temple (Sri Ganesh Kurukkal 012-3760083).

2) Annathaanam will be served from 8.00 a.m. onwards.
