Skantha Sashti Festival – 10 to 16 NOV
Dear Devotees,
The Skantha Sashti Festival will be observed at the Sri Kandaswamy Temple from Tuesday, 10th of November 2026 (24th day of Aippasi) to Monday, 16th of November 2026 (30th day of Aippasi). Devotees are welcome to participate in this auspicious festival and receive the blessings of Sri Valli Thevasenaa Sametha Shanmuha Subramaniya Perumaan.

11.11.2026 - Second Ubayam
12.11.2026 - Third Ubayam
13.11.2026 - Fourth Ubayam
14.11.2026 - Visvarooba Tharisanam (Thirupperum Vadivam) - Fifth Ubayam
15.11.2026 - Soora Sanggaaram Festival - Sixth Ubayam
16.11.2026 - Thirukkalyaanam Festival - Seventh Ubayam
17.11.2026 - Vairavar Ponggal
Note:
1.) During the Skantha Sashti festive days, the morning poojaa will be held at 6.30 a.m.
2.) Lord Shanmuha Perumaan accompanied by Valli and Thevasenaa, will be seated in front of the Vasantha Mandapam, during these days, and the Skantha Sashti Kavasam will be recited both in the morning and evening, and Soorapanman Vadhai Padalam will be read at 1.00 p.m. Devotees who would like to contribute milk, young coconut, curd, ghee, sugar cane, fruits (especially jackfruit), honey and flowers for abishegam, poojaa and archanai are requested to give them at the temple before 3.00 p.m. daily.
* Sankatpam (wearing of tharppai ring) for Viradhakaarar will take place at 7.30 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 10th November 2026 and 4.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. on Sunday, 15th November 2026.
